Heresy Era World Eaters - Adepticon Force 90% done!

Now that the bases have arrived I'm in the home stretch with the World Eaters force for Adepticon - All that remains is a trio of Contemptors of which I'm awaiting delivery! Had some time yesterday to break out the photo tent, brace yourselves for a tidal wave of pics!

The all-important painting chart!

Starting to get a  little anxious about the contemptors arriving (they're from a garage casster in the UK, so it's understood that they're being done in his spare time), so I'm scheming on someme alternate plans just in case they don't arrive in time for the con. Fingers crossed!

    Lovely looking force Bud. Great stuff, hope your Contemptors arrive soon? Have you contacted the caster? Or can you paint up plastics as stand ins just in case they don't? You can sell after and initial expense wont be as extreme as FW resins.

      Thanks! Aye, I've been in contact and he's working to get them out to me in time for the show. Sounds like we should be good, but I am planning on painting up Angron as a backup option. Always wanted to paint him anyway, so it won't be a hardship! ;)

      Haha! Indeed - One of my favorite quotes from Betrayer is "The casualty figures from Dreadclaw accidents were on the wrong side of hilarious. Kharn liked them immensely.". :D

    I'd say those World Eaters are some of your very best work to date, mate! True, I am partial to the legion and may be biased, but you've just managed to hit the sweet spot with these. Great colour balance and kitbashing! What did you use for the Sarum pattern heads? They do look slightly different from shaved down FW berzerker helmets, but still work really well!

      Cheers, man! They were a blast to do, and I learned quite a bit about painting white while doing 'em. The vehicles are a little ropey, but I know what I'd do differently next time! The heads on the assault marines were made by a buddy of mine, based on a mix of the Kharn helmet and some shaped and sculpted Mk.VII helmets (to add the nails) and then resin cast. Good times!
