Got a little brush time in this weekend and finished off the detailing on the Myrmidon Assault Engine. Some white cog-wheel edging and some hazard striping and job's a good 'un!
The hazard stripes were a last minute addition. I thought that the red/white/gold with a blue spot color just didn't make a model this large 'pop', and adding the yellow/black stripes gave the model a bit more presence.
Only 5 Legio Cybernetica Robots to go and the entire 3000 point army will be complete, with nearly two weeks to spare before the game. Feels good!
Very cool
ReplyDeleteLove it.
ReplyDeleteSomething (icons etc) on the leg and other plates would ****really**** finish it :)
CS
That's one heck of machine.
ReplyDeleteKeep it up!
Realmente increĆble!! Without words.
ReplyDeleteWow, that model turned put really, really well; i especially like the right arm weapon. I agree that a cog icon on the leg armor would really bring it home, but it's not a must-have.
ReplyDeleteYou're taking the army into battle? Don't forget your camera!
Thanks folks! I agree that the leg armor has a nice open space for some scrollwork and/or the Opus Machina, but I'm not the greatest freehand painter. I'll see what I can do, though!
ReplyDeleteWow I love that model. I can't wait to see the entire army!
ReplyDeleteGreat conversion, and a worthy descendant of the ancient Imperial Robots. Dare I say, one of the better Defiler-based miniatures I have ever seen.
ReplyDeletewhat are the rules on this model?
ReplyDeleteThanks folks!
ReplyDelete@Brian - I'm almost done with the last unit, so expect to see an army shot sometime in the next week.
@Marcin - I appreciate it! The army I'm building is a Legio Cybernetica-heavy army, so there's plenty of Robot-y goodness included.
@V.Reyes - I use the Tempus Fugitives Codex Cult Mechanicus rules for the army. The Myrmidon is essentially a Defiler, with the Battlecannon swapped out for one of three Adeptus Mechanicus weapons (Conversion Beamer, Graviton Cannon or Shockwave Cannon).
@ Mordian7th - well, I'd tell you to watch the second episode of "Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex" for an multi-legged tank directed by a human brain, but I'm sure you've seen it already. If not, think about pilfering the design - six legs and a battle cannon would not look out of place in your army.
ReplyDeletewhat a cool conversion. I like it alot
