First up, The Gun Show! Found a Chronoscope miniature with a wrench and a power fist which I thought worked well for the salesman, and am quite happy with the technicolor weaponry - Suitable for the neo-punk nature of the Underhive!
Next up is Don's Downhive Deals - Dealin' Don ended up looking pretty manic, which I thought worked well! "DO YOU NEED ISOTROPIC FUEL RODS? DEALIN' DON'S GOT ISOTROPIC FUEL RODS! ...AND A 50 GALLON DRUM OF RECAFF! ...AND I'M ON MY THIRTIETH CUP!"
Finally, Doc Granger's Emergency Services. Really happy with the interior of this one, but less happy with my sloppy brushwork on the sign. I think I'm going to re-white over the text and draw it in with Micron Pens instead to give it a bit more clean look. The sloppy brushwork works for the other two as hand-painted signs but I think the doc box could stand a bit more 'professional' lettering...
All in all I am really happy with how they turned out, and am looking forward to getting them on the table!
Welcome to the Gun Show! 8) .. nice man they came out really nice! If you need some laser cut signs man let me know..
ReplyDeleteThanks bud!
DeleteSuch a brilliant idea, and so excellently executed! Well done indeed!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate it! They were a hoot to build!
DeleteThese are fantastic!!!
ReplyDeleteCheers, dude!
DeleteVery cool! Really thematic scenery pieces. Agreed on the doc lettering though
ReplyDeleteThanks! Aye, I'm gonna get out the white and micron pens tonight!
DeleteLooks even better with paint. I do agree about the doc sign, it needs some re-work. Which I had a gaming board, this would be an excellent idea for a bazaar area in a bombed out city.
ReplyDeleteThanks man!
DeleteThese are really great.
ReplyDeleteOh seeing as you yout point it out, I guess we all hope the doc would have a steady hand... those poor underhivers!
I appreciate it! Haha - Aye, ol' Doc Granger doesn't make the prettiest sutures... :D
DeleteThose look even better painted up! Don's Downhive Deals was the one that really jumped out at me, bringing up memories of wacky no-budget local used car dealership ads from back when I actually watched TV instead of getting everything streaming. Or Crazy Eddie from UHF: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C96EkDGAw6c
ReplyDeleteHaha! Cheers!
DeleteThere are very cool! Some lovely thematic pieces.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much! They should add a touch of whimsy to the Necromunda tables!
DeleteGreat stuff. I wouldn't worry about the signs too much. The fact that they are shipping container stores suggests something a bit temporary and frontier town anyway.
ReplyDeleteCheers, bud! Aye, for the most part the slapdash lettering suits 'em!
DeleteBrilliant, brilliant, brilliant and finally brilliant!!
ReplyDeleteThanks man! They were a hoot to build and paint!
DeleteHoly heck mate, they are so cool. Now you need to make some multi-level shanty hab-block style buildings to put around them.
ReplyDeleteHaha! For sure!
DeleteLove the container stores. Any chance of a galvanic servo hauler (or a couple of Ogryn power lifter servitors) for when the market needs reconfiguring?
ReplyDeleteIndeed! I has a plan to make a couple more shops with one being a guilder bank, and a scenario with a gang using a hauler to drag it off the table as loot! :)
DeleteSounds like a great scenario. Looking forward to seeing and/or reading about that.
DeleteMan, those are just freaking brilliant -- consider the idea erm..."borrowed" ;)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! They were a blast to build, can't wait to see your take on 'em!
DeleteThese are awesome! Great work, man.
ReplyDeleteCheers, bud!
